You can’t talk about magic without mentioning Penn and Teller. Jay and I first fell in love with the duo watching their TV show Bullshit!, but quickly learned just how iconic they were in the world of magic. Working together since 1975, Penn and Teller have certainly changed the magic scene.
Their Vegas show has been running for 15 years at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino, making it one of the longest running shows in Vegas history. It is reasonably priced (think $60 range) and is a mix of comedy, magic, and commentary that aligns with their libertarian beliefs. Jay and I have seen a lot of magic and are both pretty skeptical people, but Penn and Teller are so good that even when you know (or think you know) how a trick is done you can’t see it happen!
I was laughing the entire show thanks to their unique mix of talents; I don’t think I have ever been to a more engaging magic show in my life. And the best part is that Penn and Teller really appreciate their fans. After the show they both came out to sign autographs and take pictures with the audience! Not only was it cool to meet them in person, it makes me respect them even more. And yes, Penn really is that tall!
